Concept	At the Paris climate conference (COP21) in December 2015, all nations reached an agreement to set a long-term goal for decarbonization. The upcoming G7 Ise-Shima Summit in May 2016 is the first meeting for the G7 leaders after COP21. Climate change and energy issues are going to be on the agenda. For this “Pre-G7 International Symposium”, international experts will present issues related to coal-fired power generation with the objectives of climate change, health, economy, and human rights in mind and to explore the path towards decarbonization.
