Outline

Last year at the Durban UN Climate Conference (COP17), it is decided that developed nations continue to commit mandatory target to reduce greenhouse gases under the Kyoto Protocol after 2013.

However, Japanese government said NO to join second phase of the Kyoto Protocol and doesn’t change its position. As a result, Japan abandons framework which agreed in its own countries, and chooses to become “Free Rider” not to have international obligation by 2020.

This web action is to call for Japan, which has big responsibility to the climate, to join international obligation after 2013 as well.

"I love KP" special week is a week of Valentine day (14 Feb), Kyoto Protocol entry-into-force day (16 Feb), and Kiko Network's annual 2-day symposium (18-19 Feb).
